Clayton Christensen, who is a professor of Harvard Business School and known for his famous theory of "disruptive innovation", came to give a speech in Taipei under the joint invitation from CommonWealth Magazine and NTHU.
In the speech he talked about the difficulties for companies to innovate. He also shared his insight on how companies should avoid the pitfall of failure.
"...when creative ideas are required to conform with the business model instead of the opportunity in the market. That's when this company lose its innovative energy."
He suggested a surprising conclusion: it is actually the very principles of good management that cause every successful company ultimately to fail.
