PlayStation Portal is a huge success, and Sony has no plans to stop there

Sony is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its PlayStation 5 Console and games, with the company offering PlayStation 5 owners a surprise that should take them back three decades earlier.
The company has had a year marked by highs and lows, with the phenomenal success of its Playstation 5 Console and games offset by big job losses, in a pattern repeated across the industry. Game developers have been hit by slowing demand after the pandemic - but some are also concerned about the impact of AI on jobs. Advances in the technology have the potential to allow many of the mundane parts of game development to become automated, but it has also caused deep unease that AI systems will also take over the creative process, with voice actors in the game.

FBI tells telecom firms to boost network security following massive Chinese hacking campaign

Us officials believe that Chinese hackers breached at least eight us telecommunications providers in their quest to spy on top us political figures as part of a hacking campaign that has affected dozens of countries worldwide.
Federal authorities on Tuesday urged Telecommunication companies to boost network security following a sprawling Chinese hacking campaign that gave officials in Beijing access to private texts and phone conversations of an unknown number of Americans.
The guidance issued by the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is intended to help root out the hackers and prevent similar cyberespionage in the future. Officials who briefed reporters on the recommendations said the U.S. still doesn ’ t know the true scope of China ’ s attack or the extent to which Chinese hackers still have access to U.S. networks.

China's new drone draws debate over its potential uses

China's recent unveiling of its prototype of a 6-Ton Tiltrotor unmanned aerial vehicle, the Lanying R6000, has sparked debate over its potential use in combat.
The drone is purportedly intended for nonmilitary uses, but concept drawings that displayed Chinese military logos on the wings and body of the aircraft sparked worries that it may be used for military transportation, surveillance, reconnaissance or attacks.
Tiltrotor aircrafts such as the Lanying R6000 combine the flying speed of airplanes with the takeoff and landing maneuverability of helicopters, providing them with the advantages of both systems.
The new drone, displayed at the Zhuhai air show in November, has a cruising speed of 550 kilometers per hour, a range of up to 4,000 kilometers, a maximum take-off weight of 6,100 kilograms and a maximum Payload of 2,000 kilograms according to the Website of United aircraft, a Shenzhen-Based company.
