Reddit down: App and web users fume as they encounter dreaded 'server error' message

Reddit, the popular chat forum site, experienced a major outage on Wednesday, leaving desktop and mobile users stranded and unable to access the site.

The chat forum site appeared on down detector in the last few minutes, presenting a dreaded 'server error' message to social media enthusiasts. Reports of issues spiked sharply around 9 PM on Wednesday and a further spike at 3 PM on November 21.

The outage tracking Website, Downdetector.com, showed more than 14,000 reports of outages.

China’s No 2 foundry to make legacy chips for Europe’s STM, serving mainland auto market

European chipmaker STmicroelectronics (STM) has announced that it will outsource the fabrication of automotive semiconductors to China's second-largest foundry, Hua Hong semiconductor, in a deal that strengthens China's role in the legacy chip sector.

STM CEO Jean-Marc Chery said at the company's annual investor day in Paris that the firm will use Hua Hong semiconductor to make 40nm auto chips for the mainland Chinese market starting next year, as part of a strategy to manage the risks of supply chain disruptions.

The move signifies the importance of China's Ev market and the country's progress in legacy chipmaking, amid Beijing's tech self-sufficiency efforts to overcome Washington's export restrictions aimed at keeping us core tech out of the hands of the Chinese military.
