Although neither Synology nor the name of company founder Philip Wong is a household name in Taiwan, he is the man that helped HTC make its first bucket of gold, and it was he that founded the 100 percent Taiwanese Synology brand. With annual revenue on par with ASUS, over the past decade Synology has become the first company since Phison to turn into a veritable technology unicorn. How has Wong managed to do it?
