Nvidia employee charged with smuggling advanced chips into China

Nine people, including employees of Nvidia and Super Micro Computer, have been indicted by Taiwanese authorities over their alleged involvement in the illegal export of artificial intelligence Servers to China. Eight of those indicted, including one employee of Nvidia’s Taiwan unit and two employees of Supermicro’s Taiwan unit, were charged with breach of trust and document forgery in connection with the illegal export of high-end AI servers. Prosecutors accused the defendants of Colluding in pursuit of huge profits and “ seriously damaging Taiwan’s international image. ”They described a Taiwan-Based senior manager at Nvidia, surnamed Zhang, as the “central figure” in a scheme involving 130 of the chipmaker’s flagship B300 Servers.

The B300 is a popular server for training AI models and contains Nvidia’s advanced chips.

The indictments follow an investigation into the shipment of “high-end" AI servers made by Nasdaq-listed Super Micro Computer and containing advanced Nvidia chips to China in violation of us export controls. AI infrastructure, including advanced semiconductors mostly made in Taiwan, has become a key point of competition between the US and China.

Washington began imposing restrictions on Nvidia’s exports of advanced chips to China in 2022 and tightened them in subsequent years.

He set the bar for how to buy back stock and how to run supply chains under both Republican and democratic Presidents — not to mention a global pandemic.

Ternus, the company's hardware chief, is going to have to figure out how to keep all those balls in the air while convincing Wall Street he has a plan to take Apple to even greater heights than his predecessors. On paper, he looks tailor-made for this moment.

Over a third of webpages created after ChatGPT's debut show signs of AI writing, study finds

More than a third of all Webpages created after the launch of ChatGPT show signs of AI writing, according to a study by the Pew Research Center.

The study analysed over half a million English-language Webpages from the last five years and found a sharp rise in Machine-Written text following the launch of ChatGPT in 2022. Researchers used an AI detection tool called OpenPram to analyze a random sample of 10,000 Webpages collected in July 2026 and found that 10% showed signs of AI authorship.

But the share climbed sharply when researchers analyzed only Webpages created after ChatGPT’s debut. More than one-third — 35% — of the post-ChatGPT pages showed signs of AI authorship, echoing other studies suggesting that artificial intelligence is shaping a large part of the modern web.

The trend began after Chatgpt ’ s launch and accelerated further with the arrival of additional popular Chatbots, including Claude and GEMINI.

AI-written text remains far less common on Webpages with “.Edu” or “.Gov” domains and is most commonly found on “.Com” pages, the study found.

Though AI detection models are not foolproof, they can expose certain patterns associated with machine-generated writing, including specific punctuation, words, and phrases, researchers said.
